TSgt. Jason D. Payne, a Combat Controller with the 24th Special Tactics Squadron at Pope Field, N.C., is one of the Air Force’s 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year for 2013. Payne deployed most recently as the sole combat controller with a 50-man Navy SEAL team in Afghanistan, directing close air support during 31 high-risk missions with zero losses. Colonel Pat Pihana Retirement

After 40 years of service to our great Nation Colonel Pat Pihana and his lovely wife Sandy will retire from the Air Force.

The ceremony will be Thursday 17 October 1400 at the Hurlburt Field Air Park.

There will be a roast the night before at McGuires in Destin. Ron Childress will be the Emcee and it is sure to be an entertaining night.
